Welcome to TESOL Tips!
I'm Jeff Mohamed and I maintain this web site.
I work in Adult Education and I spend a lot of time observing ESOL lessons and also talking with ESOL teachers. From what I see and hear, it is clear that a lot of teachers who work with adults have a hard time planning and teaching lessons that are really effective and efficient. I hope that this site will help by providing practical teaching advice and also some useful teaching materials.
Let me make three points about the focus of the site's content:
If you want to contact me about the site or about some other matter related to classroom teaching, you can email me at: Jeffrey.D.Mohamed@lonestar.edu.
If you want information about the Cambridge CELTA and other TESOL-training options or about teaching ESOL overseas, you should visit the web site that I operate at English International.

Let me make three points about the focus of the site's content:
- Most of the advice is aimed at new(er) and/or untrained teachers since these are the ones who most need help.
- Most of the materials are for use with classes at lower levels, Beginners to Pre-intermediate, because these are the classes with which teachers seem to struggle the most.
- Most of the materials are designed to provide oral (rather than written) practice. This is because ESOL textbooks and Internet sites are packed with written exercises and yet it is oral practice that the average student needs the most.
